Discrimination in schools in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Description:
School – a place where children grow today in order to be ready to create a more interesting tomorrow. Formal just enough so it can refer everyone to universal values, and yet open enough to make every child aware of the best version of themselves. The place where the child should become better than the teacher. What prevents us from having such schools in Bosnia and Herzegovina?

Whether it is segregation based on national affiliation or the lack of inclusion of children with disabilities in regular schooling, BiH’s education system still needs to do much more to eliminate discrimination from the school bench. The documentary “Discrimination in Education in Bosnia and Herzegovina” tries to offer answers to two important issues – how to unite “two schools under one roof” and how to implement the essential inclusion of children with disabilities. Students, parents, teachers, politicians and representatives of the non-governmental sector from Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Brcko, Travnik, Jajce and Gornji Vakuf / Uskoplje speak in the documentary.
